Restoring the Great Forest of Caledonian

Trees for Life is an award-winning charity working to restore Scotland's ancient Caledonian Forest. Their long-term vision is to restore natural forests and rare wildlife to a spectacular wilderness region of the Scottish Highlands, including their 10,000 acre Dundreggan Estate. Their work is about people as much as places. Conservation work is carried out by volunteers and funded by members, charitable trusts, corporate supporters and people who dedicate a tree or grove.

Even if I knew that tomorrow the world would go to pieces, I would still plant my apple tree.

Bring Back the Beavers

Hear directly from Trees For Life founder Alan Watson Featherstone why the beaver is an essential part of the ecosystem and how our Bring Back the Beavers appeal can help restore them to the Scottish Highlands. Beavers were a key species of the Caledonian Forest before they were hunted to extinction around 400 years ago. Now we have an opportunity to prepare to bring them back to the Highlands! We need to raise £15,000 for our Bring Back the Beavers project. Your support now, by donating to this appeal, will allow Trees For Life to:

*Carry out detailed site assessments.

*Share our findings with local communities.

*Carry out further beaver habitat restoration work.

Please help the beavers to come back!

Until you dig a hole, you plant a tree, you water it and make it survive, you haven't done a thing. You are just talking.
