Ágoston Horányi

With an MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews and a BA in Chinese & French studies from Durham University, Agoston's interdisciplinary academic career is rooted in critical theory. His exploration of identities as social, cultural, and political constructs as an undergraduate led him to centre his postgraduate research around human-nature interactions, environmental ethics, migration and population change, food (waste) management, and sustainable urbanism, focusing on post-colonial legacies.

He is a researcher at the Berlin-based Studio Olafur Eliasson, where his work revolves around the complex entanglements of humans, art, and nature, with a specific emphasis on more-than-human ontologies. On a more practical level, he is interested in advocacy, activism, and action-focused solutions to anthropogenic climate change and its acute crisis.
