Steve Hynd

Steve is an environmentalist, policy wonk and appreciator of people. Holding a Bsc in Social Policy and a MA in the Anthropology of Human Rights, Steve has gone on to work around the world from The West Bank to Uganda working as a human rights monitor, an advocate for the right to palliative care, and a freelance journalist. He has worked in the British and European Parliament and was the Head of the Mayor's Office on Bristol City Council. He currently works as the Policy Manager for the environmental not-for-profit, City to Sea. Steve is a Founding Director of the campaign group, Fighting Dirty, who are currently undertaking legal action to stop the spreading of toxic chemicals on farmland through sewage slurry. When he is not working, Steve loves, in no particular order, his kids, football and the outdoors, particularly big mountains, and ice cream
