The CHANT musical collective drums up the Sun at Stonehenge, Summer Solstice 2015 CHANT Live collect CHANTS from the audience and plays these back in it's songs taking audience participation to a new level. The audience comes onstage and CHANTs into the songs they helped co-create. The CHANT Live audience come to a Gig to be the show, not watch the show. The legendary mystery band, CHANT Live! most recently seen drumming up a storm under the West Way, Portobello London, and a super-tech sound lab in a Wembley warehouse, continue to defy predictability by announcing an acoustic gig at Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice. Kicking off before sunrise at 3am at the Heel Stone, the key stone of the henge, the band will feature full kit drummers, as well as an ever-expanding drum circle and the widest variety of percussion instruments. The gig will once again be open-source, with everyone welcome to join in, bring there own instruments, and create the sound. All free minds, willing voices, giving hands and open hearts welcome. CHANT Live! is the event based musical wing of CHANT’s initiative to forge creative links between recording artists, fans and the causes they care about. The expanding and contracting band combines the core Drum and Base force! Driving drums of Dave Barbarossa (Adam and the Ants, Bow Wow Wow) and Jon Moss (Culture Club, Clash,The Damned) with the dual bass assault of Youth (aka Martin Glover, Killing Joke, The Orb, producer of U2, Pink Floyd, Primal Scream) and Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, Madonna), together with an ever-expanding drum and percussion circle drawn from the crowd and very “special musician guests ‘ ad hock jam visitors. CHANT's core mission of placing the audience at the centre of the musical experience, allowing them to be instrumental co-creators in a space where rhythm and melody combine, inspires people to become active participants in 'their music' rather than passive recipients of prepackaged sound, and to harmonise with their voices, chanting for a rainbow of causes, each linked to the seven colours of the spectrum and the seven notes of the musical scale. Regina Martin ( shaman, is the audience drum circle leader) Tom Nettlemouth (composers, programmer, production - sorcerer’s apprentice) Jamie Grashion (composers, programmer, production -sorcer er’s apprentice) The CHANT initiative was sparked by the meeting of Dan Morrell and Youth (Martin Glover) in a crop circle near Stonehenge.
