Catherine Early is a freelance journalist specialising in the environment and sustainability, with 15 years’ experience writing about climate change and the clean energy transition, biodiversity, environment law, the built and natural environment, and pollution in all its forms. She writes for a variety of publications and websites including the Ecologist and Resurgence, BBC Future Planet, China Dialogue, and the Economist World Ocean Initiative. She was a finalist in the Guardian’s International Development Journalism competition. When not writing, she can be found growing food at her allotment, taking photos of nature, hiking in the mountains, or riding her bike.
