Consumer goods are burdensome. When we look at supply chains there is harm caused from start to finish. Extracting resources damages natural systems, moving goods around is polluting and manufacture is most commonly done in nations without laws protecting workers - multinational corporations run them like prison camps with workers poorly fed and ventilated and working horrendous hours.
