It is a difficult time for so many people, not only are thousands of children still living on landfill sites in 2016. Even on our own doorstep, we have thousands of refugees, many of whom have fled from war and have been living in The Calais Jungle - a former landfill site- in as subhuman conditions as the dumps we work on. The shoe auction is a way we can balance the world a bit, celebrities who might have more than they need can donate their shoes and use their profile to raise awareness for those less fortunate. The public can buy items which will raise funds for children on our dump projects. celeb-shoe-auction Celebrities such as Chris Martin have been donating their shoes and supporting the charity for years.
